12. What if I failed my COVID-19 test prior to my departure?
You are only allowed to travel if your pre-departure COVID-19 test result is negative.
13. What if I fail my COVID-19 test upon arrival in Malaysia?
Travellers who are tested positive upon arrival in Malaysia, will be subjected to the existing protocol
for positive cases outlined by the Ministry of Health of Malaysia. Digital Home Surveillance Order
(HSO) issued by the Ministry of Health will appear in MySejahtera with the duration stated
underneath.
As of 1st April 2022, travellers with no or mild symptoms can undergo isolation at home, in a
hotel or any other accommodation of their choice with the premise owner’s permission. Travellers
with moderate to severe symptoms are required to
be referred for admission to a private hospital or low risk quarantine and treatment centre. All
costs incurred should be covered by their travel and health insurance or borne by the travellers.
