The governance structure for mainstreaming BI in health is a central structure to ensure a
coordinated, efficient, and collaborative approach to addressing health priorities in Malaysia,
with each hierarchical commission playing an important role.

The National Steering Committee provides high-level
direction, leadership, and policy guidance to align
health initiatives with national goals
Expert guidance
The Technical Advisory Group ensures that decisions
are informed by evidence-based recommendations and
expert input
Implementation
The Taskforce addresses specific health issues through
focused action plans led by relevant stakeholders
Operational coordination
The Focal Person serves as the link between strategic
leadership and grassroots implementation, ensuring
seamless communication and execution
Collaboration and knowledge sharing
The Community of Practice fosters partnerships,
sharing of the best practices, and capacity building to
sustain health interventions
Overall, the setup promotes multi-level accountability, stakeholder engagement, and
