4. Does a former fully vaccinated COVID-19 patient who has recently recovered
still need to be quarantined upon arrival in Malaysia?
A former fully vaccinated COVID-19 patient who was detected positive between 6 – 60 days before
arrival do not need to undergo quarantine upon arrival. However, they will still need to undergo
a professionally administered or supervised COVID-19 antigen rapid test within two (2) days before
departure for Malaysia and once more within 24 hours of arrival in Malaysia.
They will also need to provide a letter from a healthcare provider / public health official that clearly
states the date of COVID-19 diagnosis and the end of his / her isolation period. In addition, patients
who were hospitalized need to provide a letter of confirmation that he / she is fit to travel. Failure
to do so may result in the travellers being subjected to quarantine upon arrival. Travellers should
also bring along an electronic or physical copy of their proof of infection within the last 60 days.
5. Am I allowed to quarantine at home if I am partially or not vaccinated and need
