P. 6
Health is shaped in the
realities of everyday life.
Across the world, health systems are
recognising that many of today’s health
challenges are influenced by how people
live, decide, and respond to their
environments. Preventing disease and
promoting healthier lifestyles therefore
requires approaches that go beyond clinical
care.
Malaysia has embarked on a meaningful
and forward-looking journey to integrate
behavioural sciences into health policies and
programmes. Recognising the power of
understanding human behaviour in shaping
better health outcomes, Malaysia is steadily
positioning itself as a champion of
behavioural sciences in health. At both the
national and global levels, we are advancing
evidence-informed and people-centred
approaches to strengthen health systems
and improve people’s well-being.
YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad
Minister of Health Malaysia
