                 In 2021 and 2022, another significant initiative was developed, focusing on
                 the development of the National Health Literacy Policy Action Plan Concept
                 Paper. This collaborative project was undertaken jointly with the World Health                                         2021

                 Organization (WHO) Office for Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Singapore,
                 along with consultants from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), to
                 outline commitments to develop the National Health Literacy Policy Framework.

                 Furthermore, the consultants conducted a comprehensive desktop study to                          STAKEHOLDERS
                 identify existing policies, programs, and initiatives related to health literacy

                 across various agencies and stakeholders in Malaysia. This study was reinforced
                 through stakeholder engagement sessions involving government agencies, non-
                 governmental organizations, and the B40 community. More than 50 stakeholder                                            2022
                 groups provide valuable insights, and hundreds of individuals actively
                 participated in the sessions that were conducted.
