CONCLUDING
REMARKS
The National Health Literacy Policy delves into critical issues in line with the
objectives of the Malaysia Health White Paper and the 12 Malaysia Plan,
th
reflecting the transformation of the national healthcare system to enhance
the health and well-being of all Malaysians. This policy adopts a Whole of
Nation approach to foster shared responsibility among all stakeholders.
The implementation of 6 strategies and 16 health literacy initiatives
aims to cultivate a nation that is proficient, wise, empowered and
sustainable. Effective implementation of health literacy initiatives is crucial
to engendering a nation with high health literacy levels, aligning with
the aspirations of Malaysia’s Health Transformation: Advancing health
promotion and disease prevention among Malaysian.
