6. Is there any specific insurance that I need to buy?

There is no specific insurance. However, the travel insurance must provide a minimum coverage
of USD20,000 for COVID-19-related medical treatment, hospitalisation and quarantine costs.

7. What penalties will be imposed if travellers did not buy travel insurance prior
to entering Malaysia?

Purchase of travel insurance is a condition for entry into Malaysia for short term visitors.
Non-compliance with any of the conditions may result in refusal of entry into Malaysia.
